how do I convert a video file to MPEG?

Right now it only plays in Real Player, but I want to convert it and burn it on a cd.

10. Wow. It's fantastic.

So far, I've used it to convert video files for use on my iPod. Even better, it has a "5.5 gen IPOD" option, so even I can understand it.

Thanks so much! I was going to pay $100 for Nero 7, but this looks much better and doesn't hog the computer's resources.
