For example, "Fire on High" by Electric Light Orchestra has a part near the beginning that was controversial for a while. If you played it on a turntable and moved the record so that it turned backwards, you heard, "Turn back! Turn back!" which was supposed to be some kind of warning that there was something ominous to come like devil worshipping or something. "I Am The Walrus" supposedly says, "I buried Paul" even though John later stated it was "Strawberrry tart." What are other examples?

1. There's a song on The Wall that has a genuine secret message.
It's been so long since I've listened to it, I can't remember which track.

"Free Four" by Pink Floyd. Play the intro backwards.

"The Robots" by Kraftwerk. The chorus.

There is a lot of reversed stuff on the White Album.

7. Thanks!
I've always avoided buying the "standard" records such as The Wall because I've always lived with or near someone who had it. Not true, anymore.

2. Stairway to Heaven
Played backwards says "Give your soul to Satan" if you believe that "Murph morph gom dworp SSSStmm" means "Give your soul to Satan".

3. The Nørdic Døøm's song "Kill Your Parents"
If you play it backwards, a clear voice says "Clean your room, do your homework, and eat your vegetables."

9. Wasn't the screaming in "Roller Coaster" because some back up singer
was being stabbed in the background and they recorded it?

That is what I heard. Didn't believe it.

14. "Hotel California"
has a fairly lengthy backward section towards the beginning. It's stuff about Satan organizing his own religion and mixing it up in a vat for his sons, etc.!

I once did a speech about "backmasking"- the term for inserting backwards messages into songs- for my Public Speaking class in college, and I think the most enjoyable part was "testing" several albums to see how many of the backwards messages I could actually find! There is also an interesting book written by a couple of fundies that details a number of these; in addition to Dave Marsh's New Book of Rock Lists.

Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" has a part that sounds like "It's fun to smoke marijuana", but it's one of the less clear ones I remember.

Oh yeah, and there's "Paul is dead, man, miss him, miss him, miss him!" at the end of "I'm So Tired" on the White Album, and the "number nine" bit on "Revolution 9" sounds like "turn me on, dead man" in reverse.
