He has "The" voice.

I am certain that it emits pheromones, even though, scientifically speaking, that is impossible.

45. Male, female-
I don't care what you are. The moment you hear his voice you throw back your head and let it wash over you. Me, for some reason I always have a bit of a throaty chuckle when I hear his voice.

I really don't understand it. You might be onto something there with the pheromone comment.

Not the Pennywise laugh, that was creepy. He does the laugh in a lot of his movies, though.

I wonder if any of the guys will check in about it.

32. This is what I've been saying all along. Does anyone really think
Jesus is going to take a bunch of hate-filled self-righteous people with him?

I mean, judging by his behavior here on earth, he's coming for the poor, the humble, the loving, the generous, etc....

There isn't much love or humility in saying, "I can't wait to be raptured so I can watch all the sinners fry."

37. Matthew 9: 10-13
Edited on Sat Jul-07-07 03:22 PM by Coventina
"When Jesus was at table in the house, many bad characters - tax-gatherers and others - were seated with him and his disciples. The Pharisees noticed this, and said to his disciples, 'Why is it that your master eats with tax-gatherers and sinners?' Jesus heard it and said, 'It is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. Go and learn what that text means, "I require mercy, not sacrifice." I did not come to invite virtuous people, but sinners."

Maybe they need to read their bibles more.

On edit: I'm going to share something that I've never shared before, because it sounds kind of crazy. Or really crazy. I've had recurring dreams about the Second Coming of Jesus and they are always the same:

I am in Washington DC (don't know how I get there, because I live in AZ), and I see a crowd of people approaching, with Jesus at the front and center. I recognize him immediately, and I am overwhelmed by a feeling of joy. I join the crowd accompanying him, and even though more and more people join, there is no sense of jostling or crowding. Animals also join, birds fly down from the trees. Everyone is joyful, yet quiet. I don't know where we are going. No one outside of the group seems to notice anything unusual. All I know is that everything is going to be okay.

Now, before you dismiss me as a fundie freak (I assure you I am NOT), I have also had dreams about other deities. The most vivid one was about Madam Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Volcanoes. At the time I had the dream, I had never even heard of her! I had to look her up after I awoke.

I guess I have a very ecumenical subconscious.

31. Well, metaphorically, the raptured church in the Bible is referred to as "the Bride of Christ"
But you would think Jesus would want a bride with real breasts. Kind of a slap in the face to the Creator if you say "the ones you gave me weren't good enough"

39. I'd be driving a much fancier car to "my" bigger house tonight
Got it all figured out. Find the shiniest, newest, coolest looking car that is abandoned on the road, look in the glove compartment for the car insurance card that will have the person's home address. And then hope their house is as cool as their car. That way you have the house *and* the car keys in one shot.
With my luck, though, they'd probably have put all their money into the car and none towards a house and I'd end up in the driveway of a filthy, run-down shanty in the middle of no where.
