What do you need
to make you happy? At least to make you feel secure and content?

Inquiring (not to mention nosy) minds want to know.

Not even a little clue?
C'mon...

I'm good...been busy as hell with baseball and birthdays and all that stuff. Spent yesterday (the hottest day of the year, to date) baking lasagna and birthday cake and then going to one of the boys' baseball games (they got handed their first loss...they rallied in the last inning, but it wasn't enough and they lost 8-6) and then coming home to a houseful of teenagers who were supposed to be dining al fresco...only a thunderstorm rolled in and took care of those plans.

Ah, well.

How're you?

5. Here's what I need...
1) Food and drink.
2) The ability to provide emotional support to someone else.
3) Emotional support for myself.
4) The ability to provide physical affection.
5) Physical affection given to me.
6) A purpose.
7) Enough money for basic survival.

If all those things are met, I really can't think of another thing I need.

The money would be the means to get to where I want/need to be in order to maintain happiness.

I could live in a van down by the river and be happy. I really want to have a partner to share my life with and not many people want to live in a van down by the river.

For example...

I NEED to eat healthy balanced meals everyday.

I WANT to be driving a 1957 Chevy through Mexico, sucking on a bottle of Tequila, with a naked 20 year old cutie sitting next to me giggling at my charm, without any fear of repercussions.

See the difference?

26. $$$$$
Money truly can buy happiness. That it can't is a myth perpetuated on the have-nots by the have's. Empirical studies show that yes, people with more money are happier.

That being said, I don't want to live like a raja and fill my house with worthless crap. I just want to live a life where money, or the lack of it, isn't the last thing i think of at night and the first thing I think of when I wake.

If money can't buy happiness it sure can buy peace of mind.

31. I think that's the thing...
a degree of peace of mind. Money, and lots of it, is also a slippery slope. The more you have, the more you generally need. The more you need, the more you try to get and, before you know it, it *is* the first thing you think about when you wake and the last thing you think about before you fall asleep.

37. no kidding, right?
I mean, go figure: people who aren't constantly having to decide between keeping the lights turned on or buying food are happier. Maybe money can't buy happiness per se, but it can buy food, the lack of which can frequently be a source of stress.

That said, I think what I need is a magical food & marijuana tree next to a clean, crystal clear spring...and maybe a blanket.

30. Alas, just a little more cash
I hate to say it, but we need more moolah--not much, just about $500 more a month. We keep coming up short and dipping into our whopping $1,500 emergency fund. We need enough to pay our bills in their entirety and also be able to save a bit for a rainy day.

Is that too much to ask?

Oh yeah--and good health. I am ever vigilant on that count, for myself and my family members.

And I just dread those unexpected bills, like a car repair--that's the WORST--can ruin my mood for weeks. And overall I spend way too much time fretting about making ends meet and which bills I can pay now and which ones have a long grace period, etc. It's very tiring, and I don't like to be so worried about the green stuff.

I don't know...there's something about putting something out there, actually putting it where you can see it or hear it, that makes it seem more accessible. Takes it from being a wish or a dream and turns it into a goal.

She doesn't have to be educated; just not scornful of those who spend more time than average inside their own heads. The last woman I was with (oh so long ago) was not university educated, but she was wonderful.

Kind and compassionate; I don't mean in a right-on way but rather in terms of her actual day-to-day dealings. If she is good to the people she meets then politics are mere abstractions and of little account.

Beautiful. And slim, though not too thin. A pinched waist is good, but I like curved hips, thighs and bum. Yeah, I admit I'm not unaffected by appearances, skin-deep even though they are.
