As you can tell - Tubas are very difficult to play and carry at the same time. Tubas are mainly used in orchestras and other stationary type bands whereas the Sousaphone is primarily an instrument used in marching bands.

And if you haven't figured it out yet - the Sousaphone is named after none other than the Marching Music writer extraordinare - John Philip Sousa
