It's a wonderful thing when your teenager earns your trust
Our son wanted to have his HS graduation party at the lakefront camp we rent every summer. No adults, just his friends. I said no problem. He bought all of the food, cleaned the camp and had about 30 kids over for a two day weekend. MEDIA ALERT: The cops weren't called, he wound up coming home each night after his guests had left and he's over there now cleaning up. My snitch, his older sister, was there frequently and all of the kids were busy swimming, canoing, kayaking, playing tennis and basketball, and poker.

p.s. He's not a nerd. In fact a lot of his fellow football team players were at the party. I just wanted to post this cause there are a lot of really great teenagers out there who appreciate it when an adult trusts them and know if they are accepting an adult responsibility that they are expected to act like adults
