I'm so frustrated
I'm having a moderate-level anxiety attack and my choices are to cope with it or take Xanax which will me feel like a zombie and probably fall asleep. It's pissing me off because both solutions suck. Even if I take 1/8 mg I'm still mentally worthless. I think I'm making it worse by getting all upset about it. I'm so sick of this.

2. I'd stay away from Xanax, personally
Edited on Sun Jun-24-07 02:02 PM by KC2
I read an article, once, talking about Xanax wiping out a person's long term memory.

In the article, they called Xanax "The Big Eraser." Scared me from taking it! :scared:

4. That would explain a lot
I assumed it was my current stress and anxiety level that was making my memory suck, maybe it is the Xanax. I really don't like taking it but it does help, at what cost though? Wow, that's really scary.

7. I went through that for years...
along with major depression and OCD. If you can, get out and walk...fast...get your heartrate up and get those endorphins workin'. It doesn't cure it permanently but will provide results, both in the short and long terms.

And, while I know nothing about your personal situation, remember what Mark Twain said:

"My life has been one long series of catastrophes, most of which failed to occur."

I found this to be true with my own anxiety attacks: 99% of what I worried about never came to pass.

PM me if you want, I have honestly been through the ringer with that stuff.

Good Luck, and hang in there.
