Commercials that make you tear up
The cellphone commercial, with the guy returning home from a business trip, getting stuck in the airport, and all of the sudden, his daughter is sitting next to him, asking him how his day was; somebody walks by, blocking the view for a second, and he is now talking on his cellphone to his daughter.

Always makes me tear up just a bit.

(Shhh, don't tell KCDem; she still thinks I'm a hardass!)

1. I like that one, too!
I don't tear up at it, but it is very cute.

2. That is a good commercial
Plus it's about the only commercial I know of that doesn't have a GQ model playing a dad. He actually looks like a regular guy.

3. I love that cellphone commercial...and anything hallmark...
Like the one where the people across the street are always watching this sweet old lady go to her mailbox and she never gets any personal mail. Then one day, the lady meets her at her box with a hallmark card, and I start bawling.
Around Christmas there's a commercial that gets to me even when I think about it. It's a Salvation Army commercial. There's a Soldier standing at attention someplace, you can't really tell where. This little boy walks up and says, "Mister, they told me you know santa." Or something. And he proceeds to say that he has a list for santa and since his family's not living at their old house, he wanted to make sure Santa got his list. He wasn't asking for anything much. And the Soldier just stands there, at attention, like he's supposed to. And just before the kid starts crying and leaves, the soldier's hand opens towards the kid just enough to take the list. It's such a great commercial.

4. HR Block w/ the child swinging upside down
so cute I cry from laughing

(I was going to write "Mr. Really Bad Hairpiece" or whatever that Bud Light commercial is, but I didn't want to be a smartass.)
