3. Seriously nifty sink.
My Lucky loves the bathroom sink too. And the shower drain. He has a drain fetish more than a bowl fetish.

But my sink is not a cool sink like your sink.

Envy eats at my bones.

6. My Maxwell is fascinated by a flushing toilet
He jumps up and his little head goes around in circles as he watches the water swirl down.

8. No, that's an extra special cat-in-the-sink photo
You should send it to one of those mags with a reader-submitted photo contest.

10. I want a longhair
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:18 AM by NJCher
How did you you find yours, Rep?

Hahah, a lot of you picked up on her annoyance with me. The story behind it is that we had been playing chase. She loves to outrun me and always scores by running under the wardrobe, chair or bed.

In the course of the game, she disappeared and I couldn't find her. I never thought to check the bath.

I moved on to another activity--taking photos of winter flowering plants. I walked into the bath to take a photo of the cyclamen and that's when I found her like that. She was definitely annoyed with me for disturbing her new hangout!

17. Lily Was a Stray
Lily is the Maine Coon in the sink. Her companion is Thomas, who is the son of another ex-stray cat, Ramona. Ramona was a tiny cat, and never weighed more than 3 pounds. I'd had her since she was a kitten, and several vets said that since she was so tiny, it would be dangerous to spay her, so I didn't. She was an indoor-only cat ... until she was 12, when she got out for three hours. I found out what she was up to out there 60 days later when a tiny face came out of her hindquarters. That was Alice, Thomas's sister (Thomas had to be taken out by c-section and revived).

Both Pete and Lily, my two Coons who have since died, were stray cats. Tessa, my seal point Siamese, was rescued from an abusive home. Cats know I am a sucker.

I think your cat was posing, and was annoyed it took you so long to notice how nicely she had set up the shot!

15. The Coon is Lily; The Grey and White is Thomas
Thomas was still a kitten (7 months) when that photo was taken. Lily was 18 and died a few months after that picture was taken. I currently have six cats here: Thomas, Alice (patched tabby calico), Amelia (patched tabby calico), Fannie (calico), Tessa (seal point Siamese) and Stewart (black). All but Tessa are half Turkish Angora and half Coon, so they all have fluffy tails. Stewart and Fanny have the most Coon-like coats, and Stewart and Thomas definitely have the Coon size! They're HUGE!
