I'm Dumping Netflix
tired of playing games with them to get movies in a timely fashion...

yeah, I know they have "revised" the TOS so they can delay shipping/processing for "heavy users", which we apparantly fit into this catagory by watching/returning 3 movies a week....

we've played the "report a missing disk" game, and now that's been 'altered' to force you to wait for 7 days before you can click that button. We've canceled and signed up under a different name (swapping my partner's name for my name etc.) - this only works for a short while.

ennywhoo - I've done some Googling for other outfits renting DVDs through the mail and came up with a list. Other than Netflix and Blockbuster, there are several other companies out there, I'm checking them all out and when we get back from our extended weekend trip next week, Netflix is being canceled and going to sign up with somebody else.

If you have any suggestions on other DVD-by mail-rental places I'm eager to hear about them.

1. ,,
opposite problem here. We get the two a week, but we end up keeping them 2weeks before we even watch them. Probably a waste of money..

4. We have Blockbuster.
You can put movies on the mail queue, BUT
you can also run out and pick up movies from
the local store.

I would NEVER be hostage to Netflicks.
When I have the time to see a movie, I
want it NOW!

5. blockbuster by us sucks
we use to rent from them... the last straw was when we rented a movie on a friday night, watched it Saturday afternoon, and dropped it off INSIDE the store the same Saturday afternoon on our way our to dinner

we went round and round with them for 6 months over whether or not we returned the movie. we refused to pay late fees or pay for the movie. turns out one of employees was walking off with the movies.

6. They are a dead business
Video on demand will kill them off.
Eventually , they will come to your set as well.

7. I've had really a really good experience with Netflix but I'm only on the
one at a time plan.
