Very, Very, Very Important Post. Very.
Okay, maybe not all that important.

All right. It's not important at all. It's PETTY.

Very, Very, Very Petty.

Here goes:

It is not "ice" water. It is not "ice" tea. It's iced. Iced, iced, iced. Iced water. Iced tea.

Did you know that if you post the word "iced" enough times, it looks strange and foreign?

No, I have not been drinking OR taking Ambien. :D

I can't tell you how many signs I see these days which get the apostrophe wrong.

"Espresso's"

"Todays Special"

"No Pet's Allowed"

And on and on.

How a'bout some ice tea's?

26. I would say "ice water" is idiomatically correct
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ice%20water

likely derived from "iced water", with an elision of the d.

68. I think "ice tea" is the one that is idiomatically correct
whereas ice water is simply correct. With respect to water, I think "iced" is probably (and by far) the less common of the two. :)

Of course, Mark Twain might have realized that my use of the word "very" in the OP was merely a device to demonstrate my tongue-in-cheek attitude and that the subject matter wasn't actually important at all.
