Teen Arrested After Dialing Wrong Number - Called Police Detective's House Offering To Sell Drugs
<snip>

GULFPORT, Fla. -- A 14-year-old is in jail after dialing a wrong number.

Police said the teen mistakenly called the home of a Gulfport detective and offered to sell him drugs.

Detective Matt Parks said the teen first asked for name he didn't recognize. He said he told the teen he had the wrong number, but the teen kept talking.

Parks arranged to meet the dealer behind a school to buy marijuana and crack cocaine. The detective then called police to have some on-duty officers meet the teen.

Investigators said the teen apparently dialed a random number to try and get some new business.
