But it looks like Zeus or his Roman equivalent, Jupiter.

On a similar note, have you ever seen Julian Beever's work? He's a 3D sidewalk chalk artist.

Here is one of his images:





You must remember: this is done on a regular sidewalk--a 2 dimenional surface. I find it incredible what he is able to do.

6. Painting of a sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo Buonarotti.
Circa 1515, part of the tomb of Pope Julius II.

Church of San Pietro in Vincoli, Rome.

Moses has horns due to some translation problem, I believe.

10. The "horns" are spikes of light emanating from his head...
...and shining up to heaven. They represent only the part of the light beams closest to his head.
