PICS: Introducing, the puppy named Templeton

Long story short:
Abused pitbull mama comes into clinic with difficult labor. One puppy doesn't make it, several do. The owners are persuaded into signing the animals over after stating that mom was going to meet a sad demise because of this (they're breeders with 22 animals on chains...that's a story for another day). ANYway, this little fella couldn't quite figure out the whole suckle/nipple/food thing, so rather than risking it, he's here with us where he can get his timely feedings from a bottle for a couple weeks. We'll be sure that mama and pups find new, great forever homes.







At less than 1 day old, this is the youngest animal we've ever taken in here at our rescue.

....hope that he finds a good home. Every time I visit our local shelter the majority are pit bulls and pit bull mixes. It's so very sad.
