Is there a song you just cant get out of your head lately??
This one has reentered my mind lately and I have listened to it at least once a day for a few weeks.
I think its the "I got soul, but I'm not a soldier" When the background singers come in it sounds quite purty to me

The Killers - All These Things That I've Done

When there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
One more son
If you can hold on
If you can hold on, hold on
I wanna stand up, I wanna let go
You know, you know - no you don't, you don't
I wanna shine on in the hearts of men
I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand

Another head aches, another heart breaks
I am so much older than I can take
And my affection, well it comes and goes
I need direction to perfection, no no no no

Help me out
Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the blackburner
You know you got to help me out

And when there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
These changes ain't changing me
The cold-hearted boy I used to be

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the blackburner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
...

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the blackburner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the blackburner
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

Over and out, last call for sin
While everyone's lost, the battle is won
With all these things that I've done
All these things that I've done
If you can hold on
If you can hold on

1. Yeah. "You Are My Sunshine."
It's in a car commercial, but it also happens to be the song I sung the most often to my daughter when she was a baby. Kind of an earworm, but one with good memories.

4. The Entertainer
The ice cream truck plays it everyday when it goes past our house, and my 3 year old loves it. We are both humming it right now.

5. "God Given" by Nine Inch Nails
...has been in my head since the first time I heard it. It's #10 on the new CD "Year Zero" and
is probably my favorite song from it.

6. "Chestnut Mare" by The Byrds

Hadn't thought about it in thirty years, and now I can't get it out of my head. Best horse song ever.

Behind us black walls

Below us a bottomless canyon

Floating with no sound........

9. "Mad World" - Gary Jules
And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had...

10. Colin Hay "overkill"
Artist: Colin Hay Lyrics
Song: Overkill Lyrics

www.youtube.com/v/6JPzi1Su9T4

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know I'll be alright
Perhaps it's just imagination

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

Alone between the sheets
Only brings exasperation
It's time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation

At least there's pretty lights
And though there's little variation
It nullifies the night from overkill

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Come back another day

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know I'll be alright
It's just overkill

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away
