Dammit! Ruben Studdard is singing the National Anthem!
Had to shut it off.

May be a nice guy, but definitely not a great singer (flame me if you will) and definitely not the winner of American Idol 2!

5. Who did you prefer?
Ruben kicked the ass of Clay Aiken.

For what it's worth, I thought Kimberly Caldwell should have won.

8. Clay was definitely the best, and he definitely won, Kimberly should
have been in the final two. They pushed Ruben from the start, and then they stuffed the ballot box.

9. Clay Aiken is Billy Joel, with less talent.
'nuff said.

10. You mean Barry Manilow, with less talent, don't you?

12. BOOOOO! And speaking of Barry, just got Bette Midler's latest--The
Rosemary Clooney songbook.

Barry did all the arranging--he's actually very good at that.

His singing is pretty predictable, but he does a duet with Bette--Slow Boat to China--and really, this is the music his voice was made for.

14. Sorry, as I wrote earlier, American Idol bites.
And that includes the contestants.

But, yes, Barry is quite talented as an arranger/writer. His voice is simply annoying, and Aiken's more so.

Now Midler, she's got talent!

21. Well, at least we agree on Bette!
But I did see her on The Ellen Show and she's starting to show her age--then again, she must be around 55 or so.

11. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Clay Aiken has a tremednous voice.

And Billy Joel, well, he's a dirty old man--he's 54 marrying his 26-year-old sweetheart!

17. Wait a minute--she was the blonde, not the African-American--is that who
you mean? Kimblerly Locke was in the final three.

At the begining of the competition she was incredible--thought she was going to win also. But as the weeks went on, she didn't have it anymore. maybe it was nerves.

18. Kimberly Locke could sing, but...
...Kimberly Caldwell had stage presence. She didn't have as much vocal control as the last three, but she was the most "pop star" of the bunch.

19. I thought Kimberly Caldwell had an incredible voice at the
beginning...and then...what happened to it? It was strange.

7. There was nothing wrong with his performance
but you wouldn't know that because you didn't listen to it. I guess there are some Clay fans who are bitter because he lost.

13. Nah, I'm not bitter--not like I'm bitter over 2000, but I do find it
irritating that Fox promotes a reality show that was fixed!

And if Ruben won, why is Clay outselling him by a long shot?

15. You sound bitter
Ruben won and there is nothing to prove he didn't or that it was fixed.

Clay is probably outselling him because more people bought his album. That doesn't mean he won American Idol. I am sure there are many people who voted for Ruben in the competition but have no plans to buy an album from any of the people on American Idol. Both of their albums are doing well especially for new artist.
