Spam ads for 'male enhancement' just toy with men's egos
What are these people selling? Does any of it work? And why do guys care?

So, armed with a legitimate reason to go to sites such as PenisReview.com and ask doctors and psychologists probing questions about male bodies and minds, I went looking for answers.

<snip>

It's often impossible to tell who makes the products, or where they are made. And they're not cheap: $50 to $70 for a month's supply.

Their claims are impressive. Some emphasize that women flock to well-endowed men. Others use more scientific language: "The tests conducted over a 360 day period show that out of the 17,000 Males from around the world who participated in our survey," says a VP-RX Web ad, "the average gain after 4 months of taking VP-RX pills was 3.02 Inches!"

Hilarious article.

6. Hail, Tripod! I had one of those once.
He really was as big as he said he was (part of why I wanted to see. Usually those who talk a big game can't measure up in reality). But he knew not what to do with it, unless you're okay with sawing back and forth. I had an out-of-body experience. In my mind I suddenly became VERY detached and looked at myself objectively and said - uh - is that all there is?

Hopefully you are better endowed, MENTALLY, than he was. I certainly am. I wound up with another man.

5. I hate those fargin ads! I get at least a dozen of 'em a day.

That, and ads for breast enlargement. No thanks! Since I put all this weight on, my breasts are quite large enough.

8. If it worked, you wouldn't need to market it with spam.

Some pharmaceutical company or another would make billions, and the costs would be prohibitive for many.

9. It says that exercise can help
If that's true, then the amount of exercise I gave it as a teenager would have me walking really funny now.

10. Man, I get tons of those ads...
And for each one of them I get the header info, go to SpamCop, and complain to the appropriate abuse@xx.com addresses. Some seem to work. Most never reply, and probably never read the e-mail. It's a problem, in general. I'm wondering if one could have a case if this material was opened by a minor. Technically, they may not target minors with these ads. Waiting for a major lawsuit about this. It's gotten worse since Jan 1st, I think. -C

11. Actually, they work.
I've responded to every one of the 3,712 emails I received (so far), and have spent roughly $720,000 (thanks to the 2,133 opportunities I had to refinance my credit card debt).

Perhaps you've heard the expression "with a big enough lever, he could move the world"? It's true.
