8. HA HA! Sorry, I hate to laugh, and I shouldn't, but it's a joy when a theater empties
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 02:11 PM by Rabrrrrrr
as soon as the credits come on and then the good stuff happens and I can say to myself, "HA HA! Too bad Americans are too dumb to stay for the credits! HA HA!!!"

It really pisses me off that 99% of the theater-going public are up and out of their seats within a microsecond of a movie ending, treating the art of the filmmaker and crews with all the respect given to an empty McDonald's soda glass. "Well, I consumed it! Let's go!"

10. it's because of the empty soda that we have to get up immediately!
and believe me, after Pirates I was about ready to burst

13. Try watching Bollywood movies
Typical movie is 3+ hours with an intermission (or "tea interval"). Best to watch those suckers in the comfort of your own home!

20. So, you're saying you watched the whole Pirates 3 movie,
and then you wanted to stay in case there was more???

When you're being tortured, and your captor offers to let you go, do you wait and see if he/she/Matcom has any more creative tricks up their sleeve before you run away?

24. My thoughts exactly! I couldn't wait to escape!!
That movie just WOULD NOT END. Everytime you thought it just might be finally over ... there was more! I thought hopefully "this must be the last scene"... no wait, there's more!!! Another boring epic battle scene. Then...could this finally be the end? NOOOO!! The bloody fucking film went on forever! Eternal torment!! Arrggghhhh

(So the answer is no, I didn't see the bit after the credits.)

12. I went back and saw it again yesterday just for that last scene.
I felt really, really stupid. I now have to go back and watch the DVDs of the first two movies to see if I missed something there, too.

Big "duh."

15. Word has gotten out
I just saw it this afternoon, liked it, and I'd say a third of the audience stayed through the credits. The scene in Pirates 2 was just a silly throwaway, but this one was very poignant.

16. Yeah, we were annoyed. We were waiting through the credits and they turned the lights
on and started cleaning and getting in our way, so we left before we could see it.

18. Bloom and Knightley said they aren't, but my boy Johnny said he was down with it
And yea, the ending HIGHLY suggests that there will be another Jack Sparrow adventure :)

I don't care for Bloom's character at all, actually...

22. After LOTR and Pirates, Bloom probably would never have to work again
Then again, neither would Depp but he said his kids love Pirates so I could see him doing another. Knightly? She's probably only got a couple more years before she's obsolete.

23. depending on what kind of deals he had...
i doubt that he made the kind of money jack nicholson made on batman, for instance(he got a chunk of the merchandising). not too many actors are going to pack it in at the prime of their lives- you have to have a pretty strong ego to stroke, to make it as far as he has in the first place.
