I finally have internet at home again!

I have a great connection... full ethernet access in my villa and my crappy old Compaq (5150) to work with it...

At least I have it up and running now!

It should give me a little more quality DU time.

We are doing great and planning on an indefinite stay here. The UAE is a great place to live, especially with kids.

Oh you lucky! Darkness engulfs the Earth the day my area gets high tech stuff like that! I've been thinkin' of Earthlink DSL. I got AOHell (thankfully I don't pay for it!) but I couldn't care LESS about all their stupid chatrooms, blah blah blah, JUST GET ME ON THE DAMN NET! And plus dial up sucks, to say the least!

5. I was stuck with SLOW internet for years... and for a long time

Now I have crappy computer/fast internet. I hope to buy a new system within the year though.

The entire campus (American University of Sharjah) is setup for wireless internet.

behind everyone... Typically when I have had time to look at DU it has been LATE evening US time.

It has been great so far. The UAE is one of the most peaceful, yet bustling places I have ever seen. I don't think there are many places in the world growing faster than Dubai.

Visit within the next 5 years and the place will boggle the mind! The UAE is a TRUE multi-cultural society.

Even better,the Dubai Shopping Festival is this month!
