LOTR Return of the King is awesome
Best movie I've seen in a long time. It's the only three hour and fifteen minute movie that keeps you riveted the whole time. Titanic got old after two and half hours.

1. yeah it is
and Titanic sucked from the start. I'm so glad Peter Jackson chose to film them all at once and release one a year. Instead of like the Wachowski brothers and the disappointing matrix trilogy.

10. well here is the choice & context
If this is it , from now on & forever the set that is picked are the only movies that can ever be viewed at the moof hut for the rest of all time and never see the others ever again.

If the choice was to have either
the Star Wars movies,
the Star Trek movies
or the LOTRs movies

It is close between the star Trek & star Wars but

Star Wars would be the moof pick.

The LOTR is a great series though & they should get all the oscars.

6. I find it funny...
....everyone was hyper critical of the first 2 films, and then suddenly EVERYONE LOVES the third film. I adored the first two films, but I found the third one to be...rather a let down. However, I'm reserving my final judgement until I see the extended DVD.
There was just too much battle and not enough of Gollum/Frodo/Sam IMHO, which I heard is going to be expanded on the extended DVD, which will probably make me like it more :)
IMHO, Two Towers was best. Flame away!!!

8. I agree... worst of the three
They are still head and shoulders above most of the crap out there though.

The pace and editing choices during the final 1/3 of the film were frankly choppy and without the kind of setup that the first 2/3 of the film received.

I suspect some of the holes will be adjusted in the extended DVD. I still think the Fellowship is the best of the 3 in terms of strictly film...

9. OMG!!
I totally said the same thing! I thought the editing in ROTK was pretty damn bad at some points!
I like TT better than Fellowship because TT really, really moved me- especially Sam's speech at the end. I was bawling
All the battles of Fellowship and TT had heart; but IMO, ROTK lacked that after the fall of the Nazgul king.

11. I agree with you
And have gotten a lot of shit about it, but I thought Two Towers was the best, Fellowship second.

Don't get me wrong, I still think Return of the King is a great film, but it was a bit of a letdown, probably just because it was the last of the trilogy and provided the resolution, which I found anti-climactic.

13. IMHO I completely disagree with all of you
I just saw it last night and it by far was the best either as a movie on its own or compared to the other two.

The first one was very interesting but the second one was horrible. We almost did use the free tickets we had to see Return because of how bad the second one was. Luckily the trees were only it this one for a short time, I couldn't understand a word they were saying.

This was by far the best in my humble opinion.
