A strange thing happened today....
My ex called my cell phone today. We parted friends when we parted, but the reason I left him was because he would not stop drinking and he was a verbally abusive drunk.

Anyway, he called my cell phone today, and I answered. He said, "Hey, I need some powder." I said, "What?" He said, "I need some powder." I said "What kind of powder?" He said, "YOU know what kind of powder." I said, "Fred?"

I guess, when I said his name, he realized that he might have punched the wrong name on his cell phone and accidentally called me instead of whoever he gets his "powder" from. He tried to weasel his way out of it and say that he was getting it for a friend, but that's really worse, in my opinion.

Anyway, I guess he's descended even further into the oblivion he was always trying to get to.

Don't get me wrong. I care for him as a human being and I always will. But HELL YES, I'm glad he's not in my life.

2. I have to say that if someone told me they needed "powder,"
the first picture to pop into my head would be that of a pressed powder compact.

4. It was for the best then
that you are no longer together. The only thing you can do is wish him well.

5. Gad, I'm thinking Baby?, Goldbond? Flea?
and then I'm still thinking he's going to tell you some kind of 'punchline' for a joke. Am I evvvah slow on the uptake. Glad you got away before it was too, late. Maybe that had something to do with the level of abusiveness? Some folks powder up so they can drink more. And that affects their moods. See I'm not even that naive, just slow.

7. god I hate those cell phone mix ups....
I mean, when you mean to call your dealer and you dial the ex instead, is technology really improving our lives? I don't think so.

8. Ask your dealer if one-touch dialing is right for you
LOL. What a classic fuckup. Hey, at least he didn't ask his mother for an eight-ball.

9. Avoid drunks at all cost. Though I figure you already know that...
Alcoholism is a disease, yes, but it's also a curse to those who have to deal with its effects.

I think you did quite well, dealing with this incident.

11. I was never that indiscreet on the phone
What is it with people? Are they all morans? Maybe I have a suspicious nature but it's kept me out of trouble for many years. You don't EVER say crap like that on the phone. :banghead:

Yeah, you're lucky he's out of your life because he's stupid.
