Whatcha listening to right now?
Me, I'm listening to some 'ol Elvin Bishop, recorded live in '77, what a record. Recorded it off to CD from my vinyl last night. :)

2. I Wish I Felt Nothing...
by the wallflowers

very, VERY appropriate for how I'm feeling today...

"I Wish I Felt Nothing"

Say when you're alone
It's better 'cause nobody knows you
When no one's your friend
It's better 'cause nobody leaves you
So you turned your back
On a world that you could never have
'Cause your heart's been cracked
And everyone else's is goin' mad

But I hear voices
And I see colors
But I wish I felt nothing
Then it might be easy for me
Like it is for you

Now all of these people
Come up from deep holes
Pullin' you down
And it's just no use
When all the abuse follows you down
By the morning you've gone
Leavin' me here all alone
Sayin' it's no mystery
I know that nobody here needs me

And I know you believe that you and me don't belong here
And the worst we could do
Is keep trying to pretend we care

3. The Revenge of Vera Gemini by BOC is going through my head
Can't find it on You Tube but it goes something like this:

You're boned like a saint
With the consciousness of a snake

You're the kind of girl
I'd like to find
Face like an angel
But you're boned like the devil

Your eyes have shifted from me
Everyone saw what you did
You have slipped from beneath me
Like a false and nervous squid

Oh no more horses horses
We're gonna swim like a fish
Into the hole, in which you planned to ditch me
My lovely vera marie

You planned to leave me cold
But you'll never get your wish
On the 24th of may
I'll gather up your reins

You filled me with a vengeance
And you touched me with your breath
I'm gonna pull you from this dance
You're gonna ride so easily

Oh no more horses horses
We're gonna swim like a fish
Into the hole, in which you planned to ditch me
My lovely vera marie

I was your victim
I was well deceived
Hell's built on regret
But I love your naked neck

And evil lies that you told me
Could make me believe your two-faced
Because two faces have you
And they're both gonna go

Oh no more horses horses
We're gonna swim like a fish
Into the hole, in which you planned to ditch me
My lovely vera gemini

Rufus Wainwright - Release The Stars
A few songs from Britt Nicole

Were ok:

The Bravery - The Sun And The Moon
Gretchen Wilson - One Of The Boys

Linkin Park - Minutes To Midnight
a few songs from Margarita Shamrakov (cute, but she can't sing)
there are others I forgot the names of already

Practically all music has fans and detractors. It's something I don't like arguing about because it's so subjective and really for enjoyment.

16. The Nightwatchman's "One Man Revolution"
It's Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. He has a solo project that is heavy acoustic protest music. It kicks much ass, but might get me into trouble. Anybody who has heard it can account that the lyrics are very powerful.

22. I'm in deep
I have got a ton of rage and this really taps into it. I drive around town singing along "it's as clear as a pillar of smoke or broken Starbucks' glass"...."I support my troops, they wave black flags, they wear black masks". I've got tickets to see them in two weeks and possibly another show. So if I disappear, you'll know why.

I need to listen to Enya or something more mellow because my rage is eating at me- now more than ever.
