28 Weeks Later...a pretty decent horror flick.
Edited on Sun May-27-07 04:51 PM by Downtown Hound
Well, if any of you zombie aficionados out there were wondering whether or not this movie was worth checking out, I'd have to say that it is. Not a horror classic by any means, but overall, I'd say it's light years better than most of the drivel that passes for horror movies these days. Intelligent script for the most part, good acting, and sympathetic characters all around. Lots of blood and gore too, much more than the first one, and even much more than the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. Anyway, thus ends Downtown Hound's movie review. Overall, the movie is pretty good.

1. I've been dying to see it.
I loved 28 Days Later, and Slant gave it a good review, as did my friends who saw it and know my tastes.

5. You should go see it.
If you liked the first one you'll probably really like this.

2. My SO loved that movie
He went and watched it again last night. I have not seen it. The first one was excellent I thought but I am not into horror flicks.

4. You know what the sign of a good horror movie is?
When you actually give a damn when somebody in it gets killed. And I felt that in this movie. That's very rare for movies these days, and horror movies in particular.

7. Yeah, I think I know who you're talking about
And yeah, that took me by surprise. But I thought that scene was really powerful and made the movie loads better than most horror movies.

8. yes it was a good scene, the opening 5 minutes of that movie was a "OMG!!!!"
I really like Cillian Murphy a lot, i watched Red eye? and although that wasn't a great movie i think he made it better than it would have been without him.
