9. I used that logic on one of my brothers a couple of years ago.

It was Christmas, and we were talking about the war. He said he thought we should just "bomb the hell" out of Iraq, because "they" were killing "our guys". So, I posed nearly the same question to him as you put in your post.

His head didn't explode. Instead, he got real quiet, and then said, "I never thought of it like that." No more talk of "bombing the hell" out of the country (and yes, we have been doing that, but he was saying we should completely destroy everything and everyone in the country).
