3. I discovered that complimenting someone's post in GD helps a lot

The only thing that really grates on my nerves in GD are the people who just HAS to get in the last word no matter how stupid it is. I don't even have to be involved in the exchange, just reading a thread that gets hijacked by some stupid strawman argument that goes on forever because one person refuses to let the point drops annoys me enough to stop reading the rest of the thread.

In the Lounge, most people are nice to each other. I find that taking that attitude and inserting it into GD whenever possible helps.
