Best heavy-equipment ad EVAH!
This is a Skytrak...

Basically it's a forklift but you can add a LOT of different attachments to one and do everything from booming drywall to boring holes for fenceposts.

Anyway, for some reason I was looking for a used one and came across this...

For sale 2 used Skytraks low mileage used by a little old lady to roof church houses on sunday.  For actual details and information Call or Email.

1. Actually I could use one of those.
And if a little old lady was the only owner it must be in mint condition. ;)

3. I think the "previous owner" is fake...
but it was posted by a heavy-equipment dealer, so he's GOT the two Skytraks.

4. Hey do you know much about heavy equip?
Have a son who is VERY interested in becoming an operator - he just graduated from high school and I can't find much on training - a few for-profit "schools" and a good program on mechanics in some local community colleges. Plenty of truck driving training but not much on operating heavy equip.

He did a little work on a backhoe for his construction class, and ran a little bobcat toy (bit bigger, not sure the name) for a day.

We don't even have a small tractor around here (wonder why our roads suck, huh? - actually it is because they are on bedrock and there is no dirt to push around)

Anyway I thought about posting this question in its own thread but have been too lazy. Your great add reminded me. Cute.

5. Is there a Operating Engineers Union Local nearby?
If there is, find out if they have openings in an apprentice training progam.

6. I found thier website, but didn't seem to have anything in the state
(AZ is not a very union-friendly place) I wonder if he should just contact some construction companies and ask.

7. I was a heavy equipment...
operator for nearly my whole life. I got a job at a strip mine co. as a truck driver/laborer, worked hard and kept learning everything I could. I ended up with a great career running those giant shovels. So maybe he should get in with a construction or minning co. as anything he can and go from there. Good Luck!!:hi:
