Big Brother contestant's father died, but producers didn't tell her.
A decision by the makers of Big Brother to not tell a contestant her father has died has been condemned as inhumane, unethical and psychologically damaging.

Contestant Emma's father Raymond Cornell died last week and his funeral was held on Monday in Adelaide, but the 24-year-old is still unaware of his death.

1. Cruel, certainly.
Let's see...father dies...versus a reality show on television.

There's really no choice here. That was cruel of the producers not to tell her of her father's death.

2. But wouldn't that show have been filmed months ago?
Anyway, I feel bad for her. Both that her dad died and no one told her, and that her life is so empty that she feels the need to be on that show.

6. After reading, I see it's the FAMILY that didn't want her to know.
And she was estranged from her father.

If I were a producer, I wouldn't tell her if the family told me not to. Who the hell knows what the family fears? They might have very good reason for wanting her not to know.
