Radio Lady sends regards from jolly old London, England!
Edited on Fri May-25-07 08:00 AM by Radio_Lady
It's been a fantastic week, and we're going on to Scotland on Sunday.

Not without surprises, but excellent trip. Weather has been warm and sunny... emphasis on HAS BEEN... because the English Bank Holiday weekend (our Memorial Day holiday weekend) is forecast to be very stormy.

Half the world is in Trafalgar Square this afternoon.

Pictures to follow in June.

We did get down to Brighton, England for a day! Amazing place... people think rocks are sand and lie down in their full work suits (no bathing... the water is too cold). However, the ocean there is calm and friendly-looking, unlike Oregon's coast.

Cheerio to everyone!

P.S. Skinner, I owe you some money but I was barely able to get on this computer for £3.50 (about $7.00) and have very little time left.

1. FYI, the musical "The Drowsy Chaperone" is a complete hoot! If you get to see it, it's well worth

the price. I guess it's already played in New York and won a bunch of Tony awards. It's playing in London's West End for just a few more days.

"Evita" is here, too, until May 26th. We'll try for 2-for-1 tickets for tomorrow's matinee.

3. Hi Radio Lady!
I've seen the pics of Trafalgar square this week, it looks amazing. Even though I'm about 500metres away from it right now, I don't think I'm going to make it down there as I'm out of town this weekend.

Bad timing huh!?

Have a lovely weekend in Sunny London though.

:hi:

Make sure you do a walk along the Southbank from Borough market (by London Bridge Tube) along to the London eye, past the Tate and the Globe and all the other London goodies.

On a Sunday morning the East End is a good place to check out, lots of markets, and very lively.

If you want to take in some fine dining or a show www.london-eating.co.uk or www.toptable.co.uk often have specials on at the 'nice' places round town and lastminute.com is good for theatre tickets too.

Anyway, all the best!

5. Have a great time.
We were over there a few weeks ago I absolutely love London. Even if the weather turns bad, there is just so much to do that it doen't matter a wit.

7. Scotland too?!
My family has that castle in Menzie which I've never visited but my brother did when he was in the air force and stationed there in England. We didn't know about it until then so all my stories I told as a child about being a "princess" were just a teeny tiney bit true. No serfs at least, heh, heh. So your bank holiday is a big deal and why Trafalgar Square? Just curious. Have a blast!
