I think a Lounge Loser may have cooked my lunch!
I had lunch with a colleague at this local artsy-tearoom-y kind of place. My friend ordered tilapia (me: veggie polenta casserole-ish something). The waiter brings it, and my friend asks for tartar sauce.
The waiter says "I don't think we have that, but I can ask." Goes to the window into the kitchen and shouts "Do we have tartar sauce?"

Kitchen: Tartar sauce?! What for?!

Waiter: The guy with the tilapia wants it.

Kitchen: If he wants to smear crap on good food, he should've gone to Olive Garden in the first place!

At this point, I can't help but snort. My friend says, "What the hell does he mean by that?"

Me: "I think it's some sort of inside joke" and continue chuckling to myself.

So, did someone here make my lunch? 'Cuz the polenta could've used some spicing up.

3. I wouldn't have asked for tartar sauce
but I also wouldn't have called someone a jerk quite so publicly. When you're in a service profession, you work for your customers--however pedestrian you may believe them to be.

Tartar sauce on Talapia. :eyes: It's like my sister after I made a glorious, and expensive, rib roast - "Do you have ketchup?" "NO I DON'T HAVE FUCKING KETCHUP! IT'S A RIB ROAST, YOU JACKASS!!"

The Olive Garden comment does make one think that it might be a DUer...

Funny!
