Theater fans: I need your help locating title of play

It's a play about four residents of a group home. It was made into a TV movie, possibly starring Ernie Hudson????? I don't remember. This may be late 1990s.

4. Not to be confused with the Morgan/Wong/Spheeris movie of....
the same name.

1985's "The Boys Next Door"...totally different genre.



Starring Max Caulfield and Charlie Sheen.
