Do you say zero or oh
I'm a little anal here I always say zero, our address is eight zero five, my wife says eight oh five. I just like to keep my numbers and letters seperate.

1. Usually zero - in interest of making sure people understand -
but occasionally I'll abbreviate a four digit numbers into its two halves - like "twenty ten" for instance, if it's 2010. Usually that's for phone numbers.

11. If You're Being Anal, You've Got to Watch Out for Those Phone Numbers
In a conversation with a telephone company engineer, I made the mistake of referring to the emergency number as nine eleven. He corrected me: "It's NOT nine eleven. It's nine. one. one."

5. Depends.
In a long string of numbers, I say "zero." for example 436235606456 would get a zero.
Also, several zeros in a row get a "zero" — as in 0076, for example.
But in a short string of numbers, I say "oh" — 805 would get an "oh," not a "zero."

Kinda weird, I guess.

6. Y'know, I hadn't thought about it in detail, but
that is pretty much the same pattern I adhere to.

I hadn't really thought about it until I read this post.

10. I say it both ways
depends on my mood or who I am talking to. When I want to sound professional, I usually say zero.

18. I say "oh". There's an 0 in both my phone number and my house no.
and I say "oh" for both. I know it's not really accurate, but I say "screw convention!"

22. "Oh," especially in the context of time.
(It is NEVER, for example, "Eight zero five pee-ehm.") In the (very few) occasions that I might be misinterpreted, I do specify "zero."
