My hellish, stressful, mounds of overtime week continues in it's downward spiral. I was so excited to get home so early, around 9:30-:45, only to have someone try to break in to my house TWICE while I was alone. Then the police showed up and reassured me by telling me the house down the street had it's door kicked in an hour before, as well as the neighbours garage. Thanks, guys!
Then Jay came over and was lovely and sat with me till others arrived.

...but, there is something to say for having a loaded 12 gauge under your bed.
Attach high output flashlight to it and put double aught shells in it. Keep the magazine full and the chamber empty with the safety on.

It is a great equalizer, and you don't have to be able to aim particularly well.

I would think that most intruders would start running away when they hear you rack the pump.

I'd be more scared about having a gun in my house than I would about someone getting in. I really, really don't believe in keeping guns.
We have an alarm system, and the police showed up about 15 mins after I called 911.
