Grr....who the fuck thinks it's necessary to pour on the perfume to take a 4-hour exam?

My Civil Procedure exam starts in 20 minutes; I've staked out my spot in the exam room...and this girl walked in just reeking of....well, something in the powdery-floral family of perfumes.

Maybe she's wearing the perfume so the rest of us will sneeze for four hours and do worse.

There's a lot at the gym and they love to get on cardio machines next to me right after I start. I'd rather smell mild BO for an hour, it doesn't set the inside of my nose on fire.

I can't walk into a store anymore without choking on some woman's idea of "smells good".

I was always taught to spray 2 squirts of mist in front of you and then walk into it.

I think their problem is they wear their perfume so heavy and so often that their noses become accustomed to it. They don't smell it as well, and put more on to make up for what they don't smell anymore. Although, they forget that our noses are just fine.

Sorry that happened during an exam. I'm sure it was hard to concentrate.

Perfume is part of the culture and mise en scene of the middle-east. It's one of the things I really enjoy about it.

Although some western perfumes I just find annoying. Natural oil and ingredient combinations are much more pleasing.

My cousin bathes in patchouli oil for some reason. Anywhere she sits is permanently imbedded with the stink of patchouli.

because he was addicted to the stuff. When I'd go over to his house, the scent would get into my clothes, and no amount of washing would take it out.

My son had heard me gripe about it so much that when the guy came to visit once, after evidently bathing in the stuff, he hugged my son, and my kid said, "God, that stinking patchuli oil!"

I turned beet-red. The guy just kinda looked at me with this quizzical expression on his face...

I broke up with him because of the wreak. I could not stand it.

I think it's a fine enough scent, but it lingers for so long and eventually goes sour. Definitely something that should only be used in tiny, tiny doses.

I suppose it covers up any potentially illegal smells, though. :)
