My dogs are possum hounds now...
:P  I let them out about 10:15 last night, and they immediately headed for the back of the fence and began screambarking frantically. (Yeah, I know our neighbors just loooooved that...:P) I heard something rustling behind the fence, so I went back inside and got my husband and the flashlight. The dogs were still giving the possum (as we call opossums around here) complete hell, and I shined the flashlight on it. The large adult possum froze and tried to pretend it was not there.... As it was "playing possum", my husband tried to round the dogs up to go back inside. Vicki, our bird dog/Jack Russell/pointer mix, sat down and refused to go inside because she knew the critter was behind the fence. :P Eventually, our friendly neighborhood marsupial decided to move on, and of course Vicki had to screambark at it as it waddled off.

Those two dogs were so proud of themselves afterward... They pranced around the house and had their big canine grins plastered on their faces...

2. Your neighbors should be happy. Better to have dogs than critters
Mine like to go after raccoons.

4. That's what I was thinking....but Mr. Freeper thinks otherwise...
:yoiks: Ours keep cats, squirrels, raccoons, and now possums away from the property. They're good dogs, regardless of Mr. Freeper's opinion. :P
