There was a video game back in the early 80s called Crystal Castle, too. That was rattling around my brain.

White Castle is mostly a Midwest thing, while Krystals is in the Southeast.

Whitie's burgers are steamed on top of a bed of onions,
Krystals are grilled with no onions

both are small, square, and full of grease.

more south than southeast.

8. I have never had Krystal.

I used to eat a few White Castle sliders in my day, but I suspect they wouldn't sit too well now. The last time I had any was when my husband and I were first married, so nearly ten years.

Their mini burgers are not only tasteless, they are stupid! However, when I was in college in Jackson Mississippi
i loved their waffles. There was one open 24 hours (this was before there was even a Burger King there) and we go there at 2:00 AM for their waffles, get a pot of coffee and study.
