On PBS. It's on now, 9PM Wed (at least on Ch 2 in Boston).

Good to see Dan Rather and Phil Donahue again. What they had to say on this show was devastating to me because we came from an era when CBS actually followed the fairness doctrine and we presented both sides of a subject -- and researched the subject, too -- rather than just pushing out one-sided arguments shaped and massaged from big business (oil, pharmaceuticals, food and restaurant chains -- you name it). The station owners are now the tail that wags the dog (the FCC) instead of vice versa.

IMHO, both Dan Rather and Phil Donahue got shafted by the big corporations pull on media domination. CBS and NBC should have been ashamed of themselves for letting them both go.

As far as Imus -- not so much. He was never a journalist, just a puckered and worn out old codger who thought he could get away with anything. He didn't, thank goodness!
