a CHP, my fiance was shot down in the line of duty while I was still pregnant with our son, and of course that was all very sad; I've been to far too many 'cop funerals', with all their units, cruisers & bikes lined up, the bagpipes, parents & adults sorrowful trying to smile somehow, some children playing, other children crying...and they always seem to play this tune, so that this is the one that brings tears to my eyes:

i've seen it used in a lot of other ways because it has so many different meanings to people who hear it. the sign of a great song.
