Magazines have become nothing more than catalogs for expensive crap.

Example: I was at the doctor's office and they had a magazine called "Orange County Modern Living". Half the magazine was ads for products that most human beings couldn't afford in their lifetime. The other half was articles about spending money. They actually had an article called "5 Ways To Blow A Wad" (and sadly, it wasn't x-rated, it was about where the most expensive stores were in Newport Beach Fashion Island). They actually had a lengthy article describing a huge bar on the top floor of the Nieman Marcus department store.

The entire magazine was pretty devoted to shopping. I even looked at the past issues and they all dealt with the same thing - gotta spend it!

I saw a pay one in the store the other day and all they talked about was ways that movie stars blow their money.
