Please have patience. Another plea for vibes because
our realtor dropped by to say he thinks he has the couple who will buy our house and they're showing up tomorrow afternoon. This means I'll be working my ass off all day. Anyhow, I'm asking for your positive thoughts. No need to respond on the thread although somembody might kick it for a while. Me, I'm going to bed because I'm going to have to get up at the crack of dawn to wash floor.

Thanks, dear friends. Who knows, this place may sell and if it does, somebody catch me because I'm going to pass out from shock. Goodnight. :hi:

13. Thanks!
IThe people are from NYC and want to live in town. They've been looking at million dollar houses so at least I know they can afford our place.

8. Don't forget to bake some bread
The smell of baking bread is supposed to help in selling a house. Makes it seem more "home-like."

(And then have us all over after to eat it!)

31. Sorry. All of mine got locked last week. I'm just a randy old lady in this place
with a fantastic imagination!

Oh, right... you're in Maine!

If it's any consolation, we sold our Boston home in April 1998 -- after listing it in September 1997 and getting just a few nibbles through the winter.

Those were the longest winter months of my life.

So, if it's not this couple, perhaps the next. Keep your chin up (if you can... mine hangs down too low...) Ha-ha!

30. Crim son, I don't envy your stress. We are trying to figure out whether we can scale down
Edited on Tue Apr-24-07 05:08 PM by Radio_Lady
to smaller quarters (small single family or condo). I would hate to have to sell this house, but it is inevitable. We are spending thousands of dollars more in taxes, outside upkeep, cleaning help for just the two of us.

But just thinking about it makes me cringe. I love this place!

Well, good vibes to you. My realtor in Boston used to say, "There's someone out there for EVERY house on the market."

... Even if they tear YOURS down and build their dreamhouse on the lot you once owned. Happens a lot around here in Portland.

Peace, GAL-pal...

32. Thank you my dear.
We've had the house on the market for a little over a year so we're REALLY tired of preparing for showings. I don't blame you for cringing at the th ought of a move. I'm comfortable here but for a whole bunch of reasons must leave. The mere thought of packing gives me nightmares!
