1. Other...Either doing bong hits in the woods, or
snorting Ritalin in the Library during evening study hall. Boarding school, '91-'95 :D

3. It was actually more HP Lovecraft than Rimbaud, but I was a bit on the bohemian side.
My nickname was Morticia. Don't know if I was post-beatnik or pre-goth, but I wasn't quite the garden variety hippie chick.

5. I didn't start cutting until well after high school
But I went with that anyway. (Oh, and the cutting tapered off after I quit Arby's and everything's cool now, so no one get all upset.)

Our school didn't have a chess team.

7. I like how hanging out in the Sonic parking lot is
a thing all small towns have in common. That is certainly what we did, at least until they came by and made us leave.

11. even big cities have their "sonic parking lots"
albeit in different forms.

but yes, sonic is like a cultural institution in many places.

Marching near-perfect eights and eights (rolling my toes, crisp drag halt), in the parking lot. Then working on my lateral slide (shoulders to the sideline, hips facing the endzone).

And trying not to kill the 8th and 9th graders in my section who kept goofing off during sectional practice. Never had their music memorized, never had their drill. Had to either hold their hands or bop them over the head during practice.

Ahh. The stress of being an upperclassman in marching band. x(
