For Dr. King
"They took your life, they could not take your pride, In the name of Love"

"In The Name Of Love" by U2

One man come in the name of love
One man come and go
One man come, here to justify
One man to overthrow

In the name of love
One more in the name of love
In the name of love
One more in the name of love

One man come on a barbed wire fence
One man he resist
One man washed on an empty beach
One man betrayed with a kiss

In the name of love
One more in the name of love
In the name of love
One more in the name of love

Early morning, April four
Shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride

In the name of love
One more in the name of love
In the name of love
One more in the name of love

Spoken: For the Reverend Martin Luther King - saint.

In the name of love
One more in the name of love
In the name of love
One more in the name of love

In the name of love

2. Who will take up his torch?
The loss of his spirit cannot be measured here on Earth, but I'm sure it shines brightly in Heaven. O8)

And my son will thank you, after he gets over the fact that he had to learn something on his day off from school!

10. I'm sorry, I'm not a very good mom
At least, not until after the operation.

I'm a very good DAD.

9. While you're at it, download his "Beyond Vietnam" speech, as well.

Dr. King delivered it exactly one year to the day before he was murdered--April 4, 1967. You never hear about that speech anymore!

8. I don't mean to nitpick, but....

<<Early morning, April four>>

Dr. King's assassination occurred at about 5:00 in the afternoon!

13. 10:00 or 11:00 at night.

Certainly not "early morning," if that's what you were implying.

11. I often drive through Selma ...
I always take US-80 through town just to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge and cry.
