i came across this one earlier today and i figured why not

he used to sing to me in bed

caressing me with his words

his love

each morning he loved me that way

but his songs dried up

withered away

they are gone now

but i still hear them as i cross the threshold

There should be a poetry group! Now that I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open everybody's posting poetry and when I wake up and sign back on they'll be lost, like on page 5 or somewhere, I'll forget to find them :(

And I should have known to look around for a poetry group, one seems to belong here.. thanks to y'all for linking to it.

I like listening to poems read and I love song lyrics- because they're song.
I have problems with reading sometimes but one or two poems at a time isn't too much for me, it's nice!
