I found out today. Life just isn't fair, is it. Why do the best people around us always end up getting stuck with horrible things?

:(

4. I'm doing pretty well, thanks.
Going to the Mayo Clinic for my surgery. Probably be lumpectomy followed by radiation. Could be a lot worse.

7. This is not horrible, Ava.
It is not great news but not horrible. One can live with Parkinson's. I know. Be sure your relative sees a Neurologist who is a Movement Disorders Specialist. PD is not for the general practitioner to treat.

11. My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's a couple of years ago
So I really understand. What's good is its possible to keep the worst of it under control for a good long time with medication. My dad is not perfect but is doing okay for now. Please feel free to PM me about this if you want some more specific questions or concerns answered!
