What's a quick substitute for cough drops?
I want to feel better by Monday but don't want to go out to buy cough drops.

No medications or confectionery either. :(

and if you have a mint tea, like peppermint or spearmint, add that, too

Inhale the steam and sip.
Opens up the lungs, soothes the throat and helps you rest.

This may be a hot toddy. Anyway, it works. Also, if you have lemons, just cut one in half, sprinkle either salt or sugar, depending on your taste preference, and lick/suck the lemon till you have gotten all the juice.
