Holy freakin' buckets of rain, Batman!
Edited on Fri Apr-20-07 04:11 PM by huskerlaw
I just had to sprint, yes...SPRINT across the quad. And I am *drenched*.

It hasn't rained this hard in L.A. in over a year. Not exaggerating.

Yay, rain gods! :woohoo:

I would ask for a clap of thunder, but I'll pass on the resulting lightning-induced wildfires.

...and now there are students out playing in the rain. Awww.

1. My dear huskerlaw!
So it's still raining downtown?

It's clearing out here!

Beautiful blue skies, puffy white clouds....perfect!

Really pretty!

We did get some significant rain for sure!

6. You know,
I haven't been in a good midwestern rain storm since Spring 2005!

It's not so much that I don't remember...more like that I actually MISS it!

3. Has there been a drought?
You ain't seen nothin' until you've lived through the TX summers of 100F heat 10+ days in a row and just a sprinkle of rain once a month. But I would never wish wildfires on anyone.

11. August is the worst.
I haven't had AC in my car in about 2 years. I'm surprised the August heat hasn't killed me yet.

8. Yeah, there has been
We've had 2.5 inches of rain since last MAY.

I'm from Nebraska, so I know what you're talking about. But it was actually like that here last summer. There was one day where the bank clock up the street registered 125. Ouch. And it NEVER rains here in the summer...basically not at all from mid-May to mid-November, actually.

12. Yup.
Last summer was *hideous*.

Certainly by California standards, and actually by nearly everyone's standards! Although I will say, at least it wasn't humid. ;)

4. Still gray out here in the northern OC, but...
...the rain has stopped. Looks like there might be another shower before it clears up, though. Saw the usual lockups and skids when I was out on Imperial Highway earlier, but thankfully no wrecks. I swear all it takes is a spilled Slurpee on the road and there's a twenty car pileup in these parts.

9. So true!
Everyone was late getting to work today, and at that point it was barely a sprinkle.
