Seems like when I was growing up, all of the sardine tins had six to nine sardines in them. These days, I almost never see more than three huge ones.

1. Wouldn't nuclear waste make them into pre-cooked sardines?
:)

2. I thought sardines were pre-cooked as it was :) --- well, to be honest, I've
never actually thought that, I just know I've never had to cook them heheh

3. Of course they're precooked, silly. I didn't spend three summers handing out
U-235 / Tl-206 baby food to sardine mommies for nothing!

:)

Those two above are active nuclear isotopes, by the way. ;)

4. I recognized the U-235, but if asked, I probably would have said TI-206 was a calculator :) n/t

5. Ah, you misread. That was Tl, not TI. Or to put it more clearly,
here in the message body you can see the difference between Tl and TI. Thallium, one helluva poison. Used to be used to kill rats as it would kill a rat, and also kill any rat who ate from the first one's corpse. :scared:

6. Teach /those/ rats a thing or two about skipping their chemistry classes.
er... well, it would if they weren't dead, that is.

7. It's a sneaky way to raise prices.
You know, like the way cans of coffee used to be one pound and now average around 11-12 ounces. :+

Seriously, I miss the little sardines too.

8. Yeah. They sure love foisting things like that upon us. Fish sticks piss

me off too. I don't eat them anymore, but I can remember when they were "cheap" food. Now the price is outrageous. I'm not even talking about inflation, I'm talking about their price in relation to other foods.

11. There is one scene that explains why three sardines might take...
up the space of 6-9. :)

It's also one of the better made movies for kids these days. I watched it with my boys yesterday and it really is cute. Nothing at all whatsoever like the book, but what movie is.
