Timelier than ever, if you ask me, this masterpiece! I had trouble at times distinguishing whether Charlie was doing Hitler or Bushler! How I love that film - so funny - so profound - so ahead of its time. Such a powerful little man, Chaplin. They say Churchill was Hilter's match as far as ferocity, and I'd say Charlie Chaplin really was as well. A control freak to be sure - but such a brilliant one! I'd love to hear someone make that final speech today. Of course, if they did, Fox News would undoubtely turn the sound off and let a right wing spinster have at it! :puke:

1. That was a GREAT programming block on TCM! First Dr. Strangelove,

then a short propaganda film (chilling) then the Chaplin materpiece which I'd never seen before. I'm glad I caught it; it was worth it.
