Poll question: Which vacation spot would you choose:
NOt that we're going on vacation or anything...too many other things in the works right now, but a girl can dream can't she? So, I'm officially allowing the lounge to decided to destination of the vacation I'm NOT going to take.

27. I guess 'Other'. When you're retired...
you kinda don't take 'vacations' any more.
From what?
And I live in a beachy tourist area.

I enjoy visiting our daughter & family near Boston.
Nice change of scenery, climate, AND politics.
But I work my ass off up there.
I bring my tools and she always has a 'Daddy-Do' list.
But I like doing things for her.
:-)

31. We're losing to "Other"? Judas Priest! Who wants to go to Other?
The traffic is brutal, it's way overcrowded, the weather sucks, and everyone treats you like you're, you know, The Other.

Plus the dollar will barely get you a hundred otherwises these days. Sheesh!

34. Other: depends on the length of the trip
For a weekend getaway I'd go to Vegas or SF.

For a week to two week stay, Hawaii, the Keys, Alaska, BC would be my choices dependent on the season.

For a lengthier vacation I'd backpack in Europe, visit Australia/NZ, travel up and down the Andes, relax in Scandinavia.

Despite recent bad press, a beautiful place with really friendly people and a unique dutch carribean culture. Where else would you find a language that everyone speaks that is a mixture of English, Dutch and Spanish! Nice diving/snorkeling to- like an aquarium

I'd also love to get back to the U.K., particularly the south of England. I still haven't seen Bath, for instance, nor Lyme Regis.

Yep, I'm a Jane Austen fan.
