CONFESS!!!!! You found a $100 bill - what would you do with it?
It's just lying on the ground and no one is there to claim it. What would you do with your new found wealth and how would you spend it???!!!!

Me? If I kept it, I'd get one of those Automated Kitty Litter Boxes. I hate cleaning out that dang thing. (Yes, I know they run over $100, but I'd use the money to pay for part of it).

3. My boring answer...
I'd put it in the bank and use it in the course of normal life. For example, today, part of that $100 could have paid for my pastrami sandwich.

I just don't have any big needs right at the moment.

20. Okay, I'm a throwback. This actually happened to me once and I
put an add in the paper vaguely wording it that I'd found a specific item at this particular point in the city (giving the address). And that if the claimant could call and tell me what it was, it would be returned to them.

No one called.

It was December.

It funded Christmas for several homeless men at the Union Gospel Mission.

Hoping some of your kindness and compassion makes it's way into my brain by association.

I try, but sometimes I come up a little short on the kindness part... I can always use a good example. Thanks.

38. Take the wife out to eat
Thick, thick, T-bone, medium-rare, side of broiled lobster, caesar salad, fried onion rings, toss-up on the potato, baked if I'm dieting that week.

Have of couple or three black russians.

Go to the coffee shop for some Blue Mountain and their turtle cheese cake.

Go home, put in my extended edition of "The Two Towers" and fall asleep in th ebig battle scene.

39. This sort of happened to me.
Several years ago a good friend returned from Vegas with a small windfall. When I complained that I'd love to have that kind of money, she gave me a $100 bill. I put it away in a drawer and was never able to think of anything substantial to spend it on, so I gave it to my nephew (who had recently graduated high school and was just starting college).

40. incidently
Edited on Wed Jan-14-04 05:41 PM by Gargoyle
Some fellow firefighters on my department found a paper bag in front of their station last weekend and inside was $20,750 in small bills {nothing bigger than a $20}. They turned it over to the police and if nobody claims it in 30 days the cops get to keep the money.

on edit: More than likely it's drug money and it won't be claimed.

If I found $100 I'd donate it to a local heating assistance provider.

41. Put it in the "Fun Fund"
That's what I do with all the money I find in the laundry, under the sofa cushions, etc...

In the dead of summer, when gigs are few and far between, we spend the money on something purely recreational.
