Question for copy editors

I used to do a bunch of freelance copy-editing back in the day for extra cash. I mentioned it to my boss today and he asked if I'd like to do some for papers and such for him privately (outside of regular work, so I'd be paid cash!!).

What is the going rate for copy-editing scientific papers these days?
